Here's the scenario....

Theft from garage. Two bikes insured on a multibike policy. One of the bikes is successfully stolen, the other has it's ignition switch damaged etc but doesn't get pinched.

Is this one claim or two?

Are they both on one actual policy or both on discounted policies bundled together? What does your paperwork say?

No, they are on one policy; the certificate is a single certificate with two reg numbers on it.

Probably depends on how the insurance company's internal claims system works. I would guess it'll be done under the same claim, though.

I thought it'd be about 20 quid to get a new ignition barrel, so not worth the bother or the time arranging collection of the bike etc.

Er, no. They're really, really expensive.
