I have a friend who is desperate to hire her boyfriend a Porsche for his birthday. She has checked through the links on PH and all over the place and is struggling to find something she can afford.

We are only talking about a day's hire and I was wondering whether anyone knew of somewhere that was reasonably priced ??

Cheers

Well I blagged a Boxster out of my local dealer for a full day (9-5) they even filled it up with petrol
Only cost to me was the insurance for the day.
I didn't even have to put up with them ringing me every other day for a month after asking if I wanted to order one, as when I took it back I told the salesman it was a bit too slow (early 2.5 before all you Porsche boys start moaning) compared to the TVR.

Unbelievably, my local Europcar rentacar outlet has the occasional piece of exotica, including a Porsche GT3 and I even saw a 360 Maranello once. I presume Europcar buy one of them, then let each outlet have it for a week.

Probably quite pricey for the day, but you should be covered quite well as they are a major outfit.

Ask your local Europcar outlet and see what they know.
