Mine is leaking and I need to get a new one

Does anyone know a part number, where I can get one?

Cheers

Hi Clevor Trevor has two types listed. I've just stripped and cleaned mine and it looks identical, but I'm not an expert. Can others confirm that this is the right part?

Look physically the right size but ours are VDO gauges (usually) so you will have to phone him to check.

Be very careful when tightening that you don't tighten too hard and snap the reducer. I would recommend using PTFE tape and then you need less force.

If its 5 bar VDO gauge, then something like this should do the job http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/370819617982

Or for even cheaper you can get a gauge and dial! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/390773974798

I have one of the former waiting to be fitted to replace a dodgy one on my 280i (if I can find where I have put it, think its hiding somewhere at the bottom of the boot...)

I had the same problem with mine too. It had a resistance of 250 ohms off the car an d the nearest one I could get for an early griff from Racing Green had a resonance of 300 ohms so it read too low. So I cleaned up the old one and found it was leaking around the seal towards the centre hex nut. I put a thick layer of Loctite 222 on it and baked it in the oven at 100 degrees for an hour. Left it for a while, refitted and it's been fine for a few months now. The pressure now reads a bit higher and doesn't bounce around so much either.
