I have a telephone interview tomorrow for a car dealership. The job is not a sales job but more of customer service roll. The job involves learning all about the technology and products that the manufacturer sells and "exciting" the customers. Does anyone have tips for this type of interview? I have never had an interview over the phone before.

Be selling hungry. Think of ways you would encourage punters to buy the extras. Explain how your rapport building skills will make punters trust you.

My sister did this role for BMW and did very well, though she utterly hated the backstabbing and office politics.

Probably a bit late now, but it would be good if you learn the tech in the cars you would dealing with, then enthuse about it in the interview.

I still have a couple of hours, I'm actually doing that at the moment. The fancy xenon headlights are very interesting, cheers!

Do as much research about the company as possible, and mention a couple of facts and appear keen.
