Over the past couple of months the Chims fuel consumption (450) has been getting worse to point I was only managing 16mpg even when driving carefully. There was even soot / carbon deposits on the rear end
. Having read a number of related threads, I bit the bullet and started the solve the problem bit by bit. Firstly I change the coil, then the dissy cap, then the spark plug extenders, then the rotor arm. Yes things were getting better. The most dramatic improvement was when, yesterday, I changed both Lambda sensors. WOW, the difference was imediately obvious. The engine is smoother, the throttle is more responsive, there is less burbling from the exhaust and now I'm getting 26mpg. Its cost me about £300.00 all up, but it woun't be long before the fuel savings pay for that.
