Hi guys, my wedge is in for MOT and my garage mech. said the steering column bush is worn. Unfortunately he cant find out what car its off or where to source one - can anyone out there advise please? (otherwise we will have to get one made up)

What model is your car. I've just done this on a series 2 350i and have the parts numbers for the bearing and bush required if its that model.

Yes you will but it may be worth checking the size if your steering column before ordering. There's about £1.50 postage to add as well.

Mine is also a 350i S2 1989 and I found that my steering column was triangular in section at the point where it passed through the bulkhead. I needed to get an extra bush to sit on the column where it fitted through the bulkhead bush. The extra bush with the tringular centre is off a Sierra.

The upgrade though makes a noticable improvement.
