Hi guys

I have a 2007 fiesta which I had an aftermarket head unit fitted into (professionally)

I'm selling the car and now want to put the standard ford 6000cd stereo back in.

Is this something I can do myself? I don't want to bugger anything up, should I just take it to a pro? I have no idea what I'm expecting to see if I take the old unit out myself!

Thanks in advance

If all goes well, it should be a case of just taking it out, putting the OEM bracket in and plugging it in to the right sockets. I'm sure there's some video on youtube or instructions somewhere on a fiesta/ford forum.

Assuming it is a single DIN aftermarket head unit and the Ford one is 1 and a half DIN, remove aftermarket stereo with the special keys, unplug it, remove cage, then take out the plastic blank plate. I would guess that the fitters used a conversion adapter on the loom, if so, take that out and the original connectors will connect to the original unit. If the wiring has been modified, take it to an auto electrician.

It is actually quite easy to do.
