I think one of my TPMS sensors has gone? I keep getting the fault message popping up on the dash.

In the passenger foot well there is a small box with a set of colour coded LEDS. One is flashing red (pictured).

I assume that that box is the TPMS control unit? If so can I disconnect it safely until i can get to the dealer?

You may have a puncture!
Check your tyres.

Can't see the sensor if it says tyre system fault. Has the car been standing for a period prior to the fault showing?

Its been used every day. First happened on Sunday on A12. I pulled over and immediately checked the tyre pressures.

Has happened every day since intermittently up to yesterday since then its been on the whole time.

Dashboard says Tyre System Fault.

The tyre pressures are 36 rear and 33 front. Is it possible that its a dodgy reading??

I suspect your first diagnosis is correct and that one of the sensors has gone - I assume it's the same channel every time? I occasionally get a similar reading on an 08MY... and suspect it's the battery in the sensor running out. There are some other threads on the forum that talk about replacement costs and/or having the system disconnected. If one has gone, and the car is getting older, it may be that you will need to consider a permanent disconnect or fork out the money for new sensors.

Of course I may be barking up the wrong tree! Do let us know what the final diagnosis is though.

It is, but just disconnecting it will not stop your dash fault display. Needs a bit of a rewire for that cure.

Thanks guys. It's 11MY with 15k miles on it, 6 weeks of ownership from a main dealer only 15k miles.

I would have hoped that i would have been pain free for a little longer? Brakes have started squeaking really bad today as well so its going back to Grange Aston on Tuesday.

I am sure others will have suggestions but one of the reasons/remedies for the squeak may be the need to brake harder ever now and then. There are other threads on the Forum about pads/noise but this is a quick solution if you have a habit of gently applying the brakes etc.

I know exactly what you mean about 'trouble free' but at least you bought from a MD and should get this corrected under warranty (TPMS) - consider it part to the 'getting to know my Aston' and my Main Dealer period that we all seem to go through; at least many of us!!!

Check the colour coded sleeves on the tyre valves , finding the valve with the red sleeve will at least narrow the search for which assembly is at fault .

It sounds like you should be able to get it sorted out under warranty then.
