How to find a cars original wheel size?

I'm looking through the ads, saw something interesting. How do I find the original wheel size for insurance declaration purposes?

Try entering the reg on blackcircles.com . Usually gives the standard wheels that were available.

What car? Is it one that could be specced on optional bigger wheels?

Handbook or brochure. Both probably available through Google as .pdf files or images.

It's only a mondeo, but has 18 inch wheels when I think it should have 16 or 17....

If BC fails then speak to a dealer, they should be able to tell you what it left the factory with from the VIN.

Wont it be on the plate sticker inside the door sill? My cars have been.

Well the wheels on it are a standard size, out of two possibilities. I reckon they are factory... Will ask a dealer.
