Just wondered weather there were any other Tuscans heading to the Bedford track day on the 11th? I'm a bit concerned though about the 101db noise level. Does anyone know what a standard Tuscan 4.0 ('03) should sound checks at? I know there is a bit of variability, but if anyone knows what level theirs sings at, please let me know.
You should pass - just. Make sure you're very smooth with the throttle both up and down and make sure the engine is warmed up. Any pops will send you over the limit. I've done Bedford twice - I think they keep checking the sound once you're going round as I've had an orange or red sticker placed on the car.
Have fun!
Cheers,
Andy.

Looks like you got through the noise check without any problems, T5SCN.
I, however, had to bare the indignity of driving around with a big red failure sticker attached to the windscreen (the Griff managed 104dB - good effort!)
It appears that even if you fail the static test they still let you out and then monitor noise levels when you drive by. I think one of the Evos got sent home for being for being too vocal (but it did have an exhaust so big that there was a genuine risk of a badger crawling into it in the night, and setting up home)(suppose that would've helped with the noise check though...)
Thankfully I must have passed the drive-by test (though driving around like an old man in a de-tuned milk-float probably helped).
Hope you had a good day, yesterday.
