Car Covers

Apologies if this is not in the right section, I'm looking for some advice or recommendations for a car cover.

I've recently bought a 2nd car (read heap), and i'm looking to get a good quality cover to put over the M5 when it is not in use. I've looked at a few sites, and spoken to a few firms. The problem I'm finding is that they all really do the same thing (or at least claim to), yet the prices seem to vary quite significantly.

The current set up is the car is stored under a shared car port, 90% of the car is under it, just a small portion sticking out. It is still quite open so the nasty weather and local feline populous can climb all over it. I've got a Halfords cover from my old Accord, but it is too small and will probably do more harm than good.

I'm looking to get a lined one so that the paint is protected, it will be on the car over the winter months/crappy weather so needs to be secure, must fit well (if anyone know of a tailored E39 one let me know!), budget - i'm not adverse to spending some decent wedge on it, providing it's worth spending the wedge on.

Prepared for the "just drive it", and "why are you doing that" replies, but after some impartial advice or any personal recommendations. Thanks all.

I use a stormforce 4 but not when the weather is bad. The problem when it rains is that you need to make sure there's good ventilation or otherwise a lot of condensation builds up. That and the spiders. I only use it during good weather to protect from the pigeons which can do serious damage to the paint. And even then only when I'm away for a few days. For the rest of the year just use some paint protection like a sealant or a wax (have 3 layers of those usually), or even better use one of those super durable coatings like Crystal Serum.
