Just popped in to have a chat at DMS and Rob took me out in their Demo turbo. What can I say, Jesus titty f
kin' Christ, it's fast, very fast, sounds good and looks good.
It is the first time I have even sat in a 997 turbo and it felt just right, the fit and finish is nothing surprising for a seasoned Porsche owner, I am sure, but coming from a C63 it felt much more special.
I love the way it seemed to turn in, even sat in the passenger seat and the amount of grip and traction were frankly astonishing.
I am quite taken with the idea of 997 turbo ownership, but I certainly have not ruled out a 996 turbo if the right one came along. In short I have been bitten by the Porsche bug.
I am also under no illusion that the performance of a standard turbo will be shy of the DMS demo car, but as they are as local as I can get, who knows.
