Whilst looking for my illusive OBD2 port, I came across this little switch near the fuel filler opener switch. Any idea what it might do? I've not tried it yet.

Machine guns or smoke, surely?

(In all seriousness though, probably a switch for the exhaust valves. Or, if it has a Dension Gateway 500 box fitted to the hi-fi, for selecting that).

My guess would be a switch for the exhaust valves - hope it's not any of the other suggestions wink

It's the "Never, ever under any circumstances switch this switch" switch.

Let us know how you get on!

Looks like something that you would find on an old aeroplane, or kit car. Certainly not a DB9.

Throw it away and fit a glass button switch. That would be much more in keeping with your car. smile

Which is why the best location for it was in the footwell right by your shoe. hehe

Thanks for all the "interesting" suggestions chaps LOL. I was thinking that it might be a "noisy" switch but F22 has been removed so that would be a waste of a switch. idea unless.....whoever took the fuse out didn't realise the switch was there. I'll put a fuse in and try it (obviously having established its not a kill switch wink )

It might well be for a garage door opener......

does it have a stray LED any where on the dashboard? Also have a look for a black square block in the front grill area.

Precisely. Adds intrigue and above all, temptation!
