HELP . need my V5 LOG BOOK asap . HELP

hello there . first of all i want to ask an apology from all of you if it is something that has been already discussed on a previous threat , but there are a tone of threats and i couldn't find anything similar on the first pages that i have checked!

Recently i bought a car from uk and i want to travel abroad with it to cyprus BUT the name on the v5 is not mine but is the name of the previous owner ! As i know dvla wants 4 to 6 weeks to transfer the v5 on my name ! is there any way to get the v5 document earlier ? I need to go to cyprus asap for a serious reason . Is there any other way so i can travel and not face any problems ?

Don't know the answer but think you might be better off ringing the DVLA than posting here. They are the ones that can help.

If the reason is serious, why not fly to cyprus and rent a car when you get there?
