Insurance Queery

I'm after a bit of help for my little brother. He is about to buy an Astra Turbo, but has started considering a VX220 N/A. Sourcing the car is no problem as both our dad and myself work for Vauxhall dealers. The only difficulty is insurance. For the Astra he is being quoted about £800 for the VX he is being quoted £2500! Can anyone help? He is 22, 3 points (sp30 2 weeks ago )car garaged, hp1 postcode. Any ideas?

Amazed at that quote - as suggested Tesco, Admiral and Elephant are probably the places to look.

Thanks for the help and sorry for the delay in replying. He now has an acceptable quote of about £1500. So it looks like the serch may be on for the suitable car. Just got to make his mind up finally now!
