I find the decision to establish a McLaren dealership in Glasgow just plain daft. There's probably only about two people over there who could afford one.. Best place would have been Aberdeen. I've see three or four up here already.

Its going to be in the space they just cleared beside the Maserati dealer on Almada St.....

I imagine that's where the more interesting trade in cars that are currently parked outside Bentley will end up.

Parks must be worth a fortune. As for being the wrong choice of site, Bentley seems to be doing just fine all these years on and if the quality of cars in nearby Bothwell is anything to go by, I reckon there will be plenty of interest.

I have a little "insider" knowledge

A brand new state of the art McLaren dealership will be built next to Bentley Glasgow on Bothwell Road, Hamilton, next to where the marquee is at the moment... in the main time, once the demonstrators arrive they will be situated in an area at Maserati, Almada Street, Hamilton until the new McLaren dealership is complete.

Yep think you are right - and the houses the have just flattened to make space was where I spent my first few years of life . Was gutted when I saw the bulldozers.

I was really surprised they got planning permission to demolish those, given the old sandstone finish and the "Almada Hill" sign embossed into the sandstone I was sure they would be listed.

Word on the street was that it was a Ferrari dealership going in next door to Maserati.

Planning permission wise most of those sandstone flats lay empty for years.

Can't diclose my source but long term plan is for the Ferrari Garage to sit beside the Maserati Garage on Almada Street.

The McLaren Garage will be situated beside Bentley.

McLaren is definitely going in a purpose made building beside Bentley where the Overfinch canopies are. My car was in the garage this week and this was confirmed.
