997.1 All Red Tail Lights

Just took delivery of my 997.1 C4S Cab which has the 2008+ option of all red tail lights.

Must say, I'm not 100% sold on them but was not decisive enough to get the dealer to swap them out for standard ones before it was delivered. The car is black and I tend to think that the all-reds look better on silver/lighter cars - just look a bit faded/dirty to me with dark paint.

Anyone got a view ? . . . are there people out there that might want to swap their standard rear lenses with my reds ? - not sure how we'd orchestrate that as they are (obviously) attached to the car, but maybe a clandestine service station meet-up with screwdrivers at the ready ?

Or you could buy some dectane l.e.d rear lights to give the back end a modern new look these are available in red/clear red/ smoked and clear

Yep, that's what I'm talking about - definitely looks better on lighter cars and/or cars with Aerokit or Turbo wings.

Think these were about a £450 option at the time - so a swapsie might work for someone looking to sell/chop-in their (non-Black!) car ?

Hi - did you manage to find someone to trade your all-red rear lenses with???? If not I have a Silver 997.1 Turbo and am looking for all-red rear lenses!

I'm happy to swap mine with yours. I have a black 997.1 turbo with standard tail lights which is at Nine Excellence "9e" in Surrey. I'm sure Ken who runs 9e will be happy swap them over for you if you pop in to see him at some stage.
