Window screen

Got a big stone chip in the heated screen. Can the glass be replaced or is it a whole new screen and surround to be replaced? Bring on the sun love the se7en in aero mode.

I believe the glass can be replaced but it's a bit of a pain. My previous insurance did free new screens, well £70 excess unless fitted by yourself which made it free.

I think they tend to replace the whole screen and surround.

I bought a new one just after buying the car because of a huge chip right in my line of vision. Not cheap at around £500 though!

Managed to buy just the glass from classic_windscreens on ebay. Lot cheaper than buying the suround and glass complete. The glass fitted perfectly, but it was a tricky job to refit, I did it in a couple of hours and I am very pleased with the result.
