It may seem like a good idea but please just have a quick read through of your posting history around the time you tried to install one on Delilah and remember how stressful it all was..... then disregard it all as it'll clearly be awesome biggrin

I think maybe someone should confiscate that supercharger from you and give you a hundred lines saying 'I must not fit superchargers to my cars'. Otherwise you may be tempted and start more problems all over again and get stressed out. If you don't accept Poppy for what she is, she may get offended and go the same way as Delilah. If you are having problems deciding, I know a disciplinarian lady I can put you in touch with that may be able to straighten you out.

As tempting as it may be zig I think its a can of worms waiting to be openend. If you want more power just stick in a bigger engine or get yours bored out.

Cubes think cubes. The way forward. How much will it cost you to SC Poppy? Keep your eyes and ears open for a 5.0ltr lump and go that route.

To be fair i haven't stuck it on there yet as its been re-designed to fit straight on a TVR 280i..It would need some fabrication to make it fit a Capri or Sierra..I had a couple of people interested but nothings happened yet..I guess flea is the answer...Cheers...ziga

I don't think it would be a big enough supercharger for the v8 engine plus the cost. Don't do it zig my son designed and build a supercharger conversion for his car it took 18 months and a small fortune and that was with him doing all the work

Do it! Just do it!

The S102 you have is plenty for the 350i let alone 390/400.

But (there are always buts) you will have to:

- make some V8 brackets to mount it on
- make an air box for the blower outlet
- get a souped version of the 4CU with enrichment
- make brackets for the AFM to get it out of the way
- composite head gaskets
- possibly buy a spare engine for the inevitable failure
- get a front pulley to drive the belt

If you take it nice and slow then it is do-able.

It might be easier to sell yours to a Ford owner then buy one that's off a V8 (e.g. Overfinch, etc) so you get all the right brackets.

Well its a nice thought but i will probably end up with another blown blown engine..The last attempt cost me 4K and that was on a budget and it went tits up...Besides I'm now skint as all this living on caviar, Champagne and floozies has eroded my inheritance to almost zero...Better check me Euromillions lottery ticket...Ziga
