Hi Stef , not only does it give more power you get more power higher up the rev range which is probably more of an advantage , , with injectors , fuel pump, valve springs and uprated turbos you can make 500bhp .

OK, really crude questions:
How much to go from 350 to 500 bhp in one go. Got the intercooler but otherwise stock. 'cept my exhaust appears to be non-standard but is a single rear silencer. Having seen Graham's lap of Knockhill, that's where I want to be. Spitting out elises left, right and centre LOL smile

Depends if doing the work yourself or paying someone to do it? If the latter, depends exactly what you have done of course but budget for around £8k?

You need to do :

Engine out and uprated gearbox , clutch , flywheel valve springs , 044 fuel pump , uprated turbos , bigger injectors , exhaust system , dampers , track tyres and geo setup then you should he pretty close biggrin

Nah, I had all this done last year, and more, including full re-spray, and although was a substantial bill, nowhere near £18k!

It's a 3R and will have pro alloy bits and IC , 044 fuel pump , ( has standard exhaust, 0.3 actuators ) mainly road use .

I don't really want to lose too much of that turbo kick in the back feel set up as it has now as standard.

These are some options I have been thinking about;

1. Pro alloy IC, 044 fuel pump , 0.3 actuators remap and see what Yellowshed gives me ?

2. upgrade valve springs and 0.5 actuators and remap ?

3. upgrade valve springs and m400 cam timing mod and remap ?

4. upgrade exhaust , actuators , valve springs , remap ?

what do you guys think ?

cheers

Mine is in for work at the moment and aiming for between 400 and 450 HP. I have been told by a few people that the valve springs are a must if you are going over 410. I think mine cost around £400.

Yep, I think they will be the blocking point for any more speed when i'm finished with this round of upgrades but I will be happy with 420bhp.

Cool, mine managed 425 on T25's so definitely doable! Think I saw your car at Bespoke when I dropped mine off for service at weekend smile

Haha was she mostly on the floor?? Did you manage 425 on the stock exhaust? Mine still has the stock backbox with upgraded manifolds but just mulling over whether to change. I'm over budget as it is but I don't want to take it for a remap if there are large gains from changing the backbox.

There may have been a few major parts missing haha

Mine has a custom dual exhaust, I think there are gains to be had with a proper dual exhaust (eliminating the y piece from the standard exhaust) but again it comes down to cost I guess!
