Amp behind the seat

Has anyone put an amp behind the seat?
I'm thinking the drivers seat, as it will be a shorter distance to the battery.

I'm after some help, where to run the wires for the battery, earth, speakers and head unit, also where is safe to drill holes.

I heard the tunnel is a bit nightmare to get access to so any tips or photos would be very helpful.
I could use the door cills, but I have no idea how to get into them.

Other approach could be to relocate the battery to behind one of the seats - although I haven't, quite a few have done so - often behind passenger seat. Makes for far easier battery replacement.

I'm a bit confused by the question, if you drill or cut a hole in the tunnel as far rearward as possible you have full access to the tunnel, then battery

I think running the wire down the tunnel would be a nightmare due to lack of access.
But I think I have found what I'm looking for.
There is a 1" gap in the side chassis rails covered by an alloy panel, I can drill though that to access the door cill and then run the amp cables this route to the head unit.



Does anyone have a photo they could post or email me with this bodywork panel removed.

I have an amp mounted to the bulkhead behind the driver's seat and all the wiring runs up the tunnel. Admittedly it was all fitted at the factory but it means there is room.

I have a combined sub/amp behind the drivers seat, wiring goes down the tunnel.

Mmm OK, can you take a photo of where your cables go into the tunnel.
I want to make sure I don't catch anything.
