De Cal Removal

Hi,
I have a 2003 mini one with de cals on the bonnet and above both front wheels...these were on the car when it was bought.
I have been wanting these removed for a while mainly because the don't really match (2 solid stripes on the bonnet and 'check mark' design above the front wheels) and i'm not sure how long ago they were added to the car.
Is there anyone else who has had de cals removed and could recommend anyone in the North East (Gateshead, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Durham) area that could do the job?
Any advice or feedback would be much appreciated.

I recently removed a Union Jack and Union Jack wing mirrors from my cooper.
It was a doddle, people on the internet must be doing it wrong, all I'd read are horror stories, or maybe I was lucky. I approached it in a methodical manner and it went well.
Before you start, what colour paint is it? I took a Union Jack off which was in sections and there was zero fading because it was a white roof.
If it was red paint I would have shown more caution.
1) you will need, a hair drier, fresh Stanley blades , some paint thinners, polish/wax. A few rags, elbow grease.
2)start by washing your car and then chamois/dry
3) identify an easy place to peel back the decals, preferably near an edge with it peeling away in a straightline.
4) put your hair drier on hot and low blow and apply heat fairly aggressively to where you want to start peeling until area fairly hot to touch.
5) start picking away edge with fingernails, best tool you've got,
6) should start lifting and peeling slowly
7) keep heating less aggressively the bit about to pull off as you peel off decal, avoid shrinking down the bit you've just peeled making it brittle and likely to snap off.
8) any bits stuck under plastic trim near edges, pull back trim and scrape/poke off with blunt/sharp edge of a Stanley without scraping paintwork, these areas aren't visible with trim in place and are only a mm or so thick but still use caution with Stanley's, I am fairly good with my hands and it wasn't an issue,
9) you will be lest with some risidual glue mark/lines, dilute down thinners with water. 1/5 initially, dab a tiny bit ona cloth, gently rub off glue lines and follow with a squirt of fresh water from a sports bottle to clear any excess thinners, the cloth will ideally have very little on.
Repeat until glue off. Strengthen/weaken solution depending on ease of rubbing off glue.
No paint should be coming off at all.
10) ideally, clay then machine polish and wax the area afterwards. But a polish and wax will do.
my roof came up like new.
