Hi,

Just got the paperwork back from the dvla so I can put my private plate onto my dbs.

Looking for recommendations as to where to go to have them made up. I'm based in Cheshire and I need them quick!

Many thanks

Chris

If you are going to want the rear one shaped then it's probably just your dealer. Or you are happy with the standard shape then halfords are as good as anywhere.

Assuming you want legal ones of course.

Thanks all.

It's special order only at Halfords. Apparently the shaped DBS rear plate isn't a big seller. Funny that....

I will give Stratstone a call this morning.

Will post a pic when done.

Cheers for replying

I used these guys http://www.platesforcars.co.uk/

They are in Dublin which means you don't need to show them documentation. The plates are of excellent quality and have not faded at all unlike the printed rubbish from Halfords and the like. The turnaround was very quick.

This ^^^^^^^. Or Demon Plates via t'internet but they require all doc's as UK based. Raised gel letters are really good from either company smile

Dealer surely, I pitched up at my local Porsche Centre with the paperwork yesterday and they produced a new front one for me while I waited, a cup of coffee and a sit in a new Macan later it was done, great service.

Your Porsche dealer had the specif rear plate shape for the DBS? That was lucky.

Go with the Irish option above, there are a few of them, fancyplates and so on. That way you can have it made slightly more interesting than DVLA specs...

I think the Dublin crowd have a couple of websites. I had a 3/4 plate done for the front and they've printed it with all the legal info required including the bs standard which being 3/4 I presume it doesn't technically comply with.

I had a full size front plate done by them as well, industrial Velcro and can chop and change as I see fit. Good plates too.

Just an example of what good service (the correct)dealer can give, no need to be clever.
I'm sure Lancaster Aston next door would have done the same.
