Lighting problem on a T5 Transporter...

Just a quick question. Has anyone on here seen a problem I have with my 2010 (60) reg Transporter (T28 102). This happened after a trailer was attached to the towbar. Now the side lights and rear lights do not work. The headlights only, indicators and fog light work. The bulb out light on the facia is on, there also sems to be a relay clicking behind the facia.

Just wondered if anyone on here had seen this, the vehicle documentation has no fuse layout diagram! I thought I would ask before I put myself at the mercy of the local dealer!

Water in trailer connector or its fuse blown, perhaps? If the towing kit has been fitted recently snagged or shorting wire?

It was a wire on the back of the fuse holder under the facia.

Hi, I’ve just experienced exactly the same problem today after towing. I’ve tried to look for a loose wire also checked bulbs and fuses but I can’t see what has caused this any ideas many thanks Steve
