Build completed 25th march no delivery date.....help

We are tearing our hair out here. At the end of January we ordered a Porsche cayenne with a march build date..... Part of the deal was they had my partners 911 in part exchange immediately which we agreed to as they said the build would be complete end of march and delivery 10-14 days later.........we were emailed on March 25th and told the build was complete and the dealer expected delivery within 10-14 days..... After 10 days I called the dealer who said they had the consignment note it's in the uk and they would have it in a couple of days.......they rang 3 days later...... No car, apparently no one actually knew where it was........ It too, 24 hours to find it was still at the port in Germany and would be shipped 2 days later....... Still it didn't arrive...... The next excuse was it got missed off the boat! 2 days later...... And me chasing again.......we are told, that there was an error and the wrong vehicle was being tracked...... On the 17th April we were told it's still at the factory....every so many cars are kept for a total quality control check..........and due to this they cannot give us a delivery date as they don't know how long it will take....... I think that somewhere along the line we are not being told the whole truth, any advice who we can speak to at Porsche gb about this as the dealer say it's out of their hands......

Have you asked for a loan car? Being as you've been without a car for longer than anticipated the least they can do is loan you something suitable until yours does turn up.
We are going into the dealership Monday.... Not so easy to fob us off face to face and we are going to request a loan car then, it's the lack of information that is driving me nuts, apparently due to time differences and language barriers with Germany...... I really don't know what to believe any more

New model coming out causing delay?A customer of mine has paid his deposit months ago and told to not choose extras, colours etc and until later. Been told October delivery because it's a new model..

A friend was waiting for his new Cayenne diesel last year & it 'disappeared' somehow on the system between factory & port & then popped up miraculously at the dealer a day or two later. It sounds like they had your p/ex early to maximise the trade in value unfortunately which dealers often do though you are caught in a common trap here. I hope it gets resolved on Monday for you. I suggest you start perusing the Porsche clothing catalogue for some freebies you will be requesting & also ask for a decent courtesy car at no charge whilst they find yours (assuming they have any after the GT3 debacle).

This is shocking. We have an identical situation. 911 px then wait for the build to take place should have been mid April, then told mid May, latest update being built now which changed overnight again, so I have no idea what's going on or if and when we will see ours ? what with the language barrier and the time difference maybe we won't! At least they contacted you! I was told there maybe some delay for quality control as well? I think there may be bigger issues with Porsche than we realise. It will be interesting to see how things turn out. What really irritates me the most apart from the lack of comunication is the obvious lies, it's quite sad really. I can't believe that someone else has the same issue as us, it sounds as though Porsche have major issues here, are they also sitting pretty with the money from your 911 as they are ours? I just hope yours isn't from the same dealership....... Otherwise I will definatly smell a rat..... Just for the record, they only contact us when we chase them! We are now seriously considering cancelling our order if this can't be resolved with a guaranteed delivery date on Monday.
When you go into the OPC on Monday sit down with the salesman and insist they show all the ordering details on their computer system to you.
When I ordered my new Boxster last year, every time I went into to see them I was shown 'my car' on the system and how far down the build schedule it was. I even made a note of the order number.
I was also shown all the other Boxster's in the dealer's pipeline and where my fitted in in the schedule.
All in all a very transparent transaction because I was shown the order process, everything the salesman said was backed up by information I could see for myself

I just want to be certain that the porsche centre we have ordered from didn't over subscribe to the available builds in march and are just trying to string us along. We do have an email confirming the build was complete on the 25th March and delivery would be 10-14 days, but have since been told that wasn't our car anyway

i had a simmilar instance on a new boat i ordered in the uk, built in the states and kept missing its shipment each week. dealer had my boat as px and already sold it. long story short i phoned the manufacturer and squeezed it out of them that he hadnt paid for his last batch of boats from dealer in states so they wouldnt release boat for shipment , could be similar circumstances
