Alternative to selling on ebay?

Just set up selling one of my bikes on the 'bay - been a while since i sold through it and it struck me how lumpy the fees are.

I've got a bike i'm hoping to get about 750 quid for, so figured set the auction with a reserve of £500 so it's covered worst case.

Hadn't quite got that the reserve fee is 3.5% (i.e. £17 plus the other fees and final value would mean that should my bike go for 750 quid it'd be knocking on £100 of total ebay fee.

Strikes me as a hell of a lot... does paypal the compound further the cost?

Do you guys know of other sites that will attract a comparable interest level to 'bay without the hefty fees??

I usually sell using buy it now with best offer accepted. Just increase the price so that the money coming to you is what you want (ie the buyer in effect pays the fees premium).
If it doesn't sell then try the other avenues!
