Brick Lane Indian?
Discussion
Yeah okay Tayyab's is nice, but it really depends what you're after. If you're going there wanting a delicious butter chicken or madras with a saag paneer and tadka daal, you're going to be sorely disappointed.
I like Tayyab's as much as the next person, but sometimes the posters on this board will default to it without even considering what people are actually after. (Plus it's not Indian).

Lahore Kebab House or Tayyabs are very, very much worth a try and not far from Brick Lane.
Went to Lahore Kebab House last night as part of a stag do, very nice food and it's bring your own booze which means it doesn't work out to be too expensive. It's a very loud place though, hearing people who aren't directly next to you is rather difficult.Murph7355 said:

shampan is the best on BL, byob, but no deals on food.
any of the others £10 will get you starter main rice and nann, maybe a side and a drink if business is slow
Lahore and tayyabs are nice, but the Q makes it a bit of a pain. Needo Grill opposite Lahore is same people same food

Muhib in Brick Lane and a couple of beers in The Ten Bells on the way.
Thanks for the recommendation, went to Muhib last night after drinks at the top of the Gerkin and the food and service was good, Good to have somewhere to aim for rather than blindly choosing a place! Thanks for the other suggestions, will check them out next time!

te. You have to queue for ages and if you book you only end up in a priority queue. Save yourself the bother and go to the Shampan the best by far in that area.
