in Canada/America, will it be ok to buy it there and bring it over without any problem? Need any converting?

Going there in few weeks time and shocked to discover that they selling it at half the price.

Believe they're LHD over there...

(Post your packaging and receipt back and it'll look like you always had it with you.) A few years ago the designations were different to European - e.g. the N90S was the F90X - but they're the same these days IIRC

What you mean about post the packing and reciept? what happen if I didn't?

As it was bought in the USA, you will have paid no UK VAT. You can avoid this by just bringing the camera back as if you took it out with you - e.g as if you didnt buy it abroad. If you have the box, and receipt, with you its a bit tricky Hence posting it back and bringing the camera in your luggage.

I doubt the warranty will be of any use. It's one of those things they hold over you to try to make you pay more in other countries. But the saving will be tempting!

And although I am not condoning (sp) it, if you ever break it your house insurance should replace it.
