Anyone know where I can get a replacement heater control panel PCB, and all the LEDs? I've bought a re-veneered panel and, having taken the old one out, it appears that all the LEDs are glued into the metal panel, and I can't see that it's going to be possible to remove the PCB without damaging the LEDs. I realise there may be different versions - mine is a '94 Griff 500:

Very grateful for any advice...

Hi,
if you are carefull it is possible to remove the glue with a craft knife and remove the LEDs from the panel. The chances are though you will break some.
There is a seller on E-Bay doing a full LED kit for the Griffith 500 heater panel.
Just make sure you have the LEDs in the right direction when soldering to the board.
There is no need to reglue them to the panel, they are held fimly in postion when the board is attached to the panel by the 4 potentiometers.

Spot on, exactly what I did. Used a scalpel to cut around LEDs, pushed new ones back and carefully re-soldered them. Don't forget that LEDs are polarity conscious so must be wired the correct way round. The ice detector has 3 wires so make a separate note of how it is wired.

Not as difficult a job as I thought it might have been.

I've just stripped my heater panel ready for re veneering. I bought a set of new LED's off ebay.

Checked them all and the kit is perfect.
As stated above, you'll have to desolder the old LED's and resolder the new. Make a note of their orientation before you take them out.

Thanks guys for such consistent advice! Looks like I need to dust off my soldering skills redface)

I've ordered a set of LEDs from the eBay seller - seems very reasonable at £8.40.
