I am interested in a car (BMW 330ci Convertible) but I am unable to go to view it and the seller has informed me that another chap is coming back for a second viewing on Mon evening.

The car is located near Crowborough, East Sussex and I have been chatting with the seller, who seems a decent sort, about the car and it seems to be in good order but it is difficult to tell without seeing it.

I will obviously have full responsibility for the sale but I would really value another PHer having a look and either giving the thumbs up (I would then transfer a deposit to secure the car) or a thumbs down and i would say 'no thanks'.

If anybody is able would they please let me know?

Of course it could be the oldest one in the book!

however, he seems very genuine and it would be a shame to miss out.

Second viewing!

What's he going to do, check the measurements in the kitchen and decide where to put the sofa?

Don't let the seller rush you OP. Plenty of 330s around.

Hundreds of leggy 330 convertibles out there. Find one closer to home, don't fixate on this one. If it's still available when you have chance to nip over then all well and good.

While it might be useful for someone local on here to take a look you never know what their standards are or if their opinion is worth having.

And the seller might respond on here and give you a thumbs up... Don't think of that did ya, did ya.

Can you pay for an inspection with as etc as don't need to be present?

Or call nearest respectable Indy BMW specialist, explain situation and pay for them to look at with seller taking it in?

I told someone who viewed my car that a chap was coming for a second viewing the next day...

He probably didn't believe me because he didn't make an offer, but the other guy came for the second viewing with cash and took it away.

Just saying...

You win some, you lose some. Rushing into a sale rarely pays off.

I can vouch for that.
