Just a heads up on a possible source for this type of wheel as Dymag disappeared off our the radar some time ago.

This is a company based, working and producing from "down under". I wonder if a group buy for our vehicles could be arranged if there was sufficient interest...

Hi, the domain is active as you can see the cgi directory, looks like they took down the site for some reason

I don't think so as I recall reading an article made by an Australian official making a speak at an inauguration ceremony for a new production site I believe...

Yes you cant get the dymag cabon wheels anymore, but I think that was more to do with safety issues with the wheels....you can still get the hollow spoke magnesium dymags made to order, but last time I tried to set a deal up thepoeple who now own the rights to them changed the price at the last moment and it was just plain too expensive in comparison with other manufacturers offerings.

I had the Dymag carbon rim mag spoke wheels on my M400, they were fine for me, though they did have issues when I was slammed into a kerb sideways hehe
Didn't do the car much good either.

If you are interested in carbon wheels then this video is worth watching.

You can see why they wouldn't be cheap....

I don't know it's the same way they make most upscale carbon parts, once the pieces are cut they just have to be laid into the mold. If you did it in volume the price should come down.

They are still labour intensive, though come to think of it My Dymag carbon rim mag spoke wheels for my Noble were not that much more expensive than Ultima want for their OZ rimmed wheels. IIRC the Dymage were about £750 per corner as opposed to £500 per corner for Ultima's fayre.
There is a 5 year time lag to consider though.

Just my very humble insight

It depends the purpose of the car, a race car, which must win one race, is definitively not a road car>

Collin Chapman raced using aluminium lace car, sitting on the "gearbox", with only one nut retaining bearings and each wheel at the front...
if it is for a road car i would go for modern wheel like the french one:http://www.jante-madin.com/2.html.
If not OK, but take a magnet and do thinks like a complete finisher, as Porsche did on his 909 Bergspider, removing any iron

Ultima has set numerous world record with is 720 model and it is still manageable on the road, doesn't it make sense?
