Dimmer switch removal

[JVaughan]

Has anyone done away with the dash illumination dimmer ??

In my quest to get useable bright dash illumination, aside from changing the bulbs in the clocks, I have found that the bright setting doesn't work, so I only have off, dim, off as options.
