Bought a cheap fleabay airbrush when I started afv modelling again.

Looks like its not a fad so want to get a decent one now.

Any recommendations ?

Can only recommend the one I use - which I love.

It's the Harder and Steenbeck Evolution.

I bought myself an H&S Evolution Silverline from Little-Cars for Christmas:

It's a pretty good double action airbrush. The Silverline version has a needle travel adjuster at the back which makes it easier to spray consistent width lines. I also got a 'claw' type nozzle which allows you to see the needle tip which makes really fine work a bit easier to see (if necessary).

Must admit I did have some issues with paint bubbling into the reservoir, but it seems OK now after fiddling with the seals a bit.

Talk to Paul at Little Cars; he will give good advice and a decent price. Have you got a compressor?

Paul at little-cars is very approacable and will discuss any airbrush queries with you.

I have foundf my H & B to be pretty much 100% reliable - which is a lot better than other makes I have used over the years.
