E30 (1994) Touring Camshaft

Evening Peeps,

I'm in East Sussex and need the Camshaft on my 1994 E30 Touring replaced, anybody know someone down here and or how much I need to think about parting with.

These are fairly well reputed as far as I know.

That sounds like a clear case of "not economically repairable". But if you love your 20-year old car....

Depending on the engine may make more sense to swap in a different one as if its like a 318i can get a complete unit cheap as chips

If its a bigger lump may make sense to stick a performance cam in if its going to be changed...

Unless he can replace his car with one of the same condition and specification for less than the cost of having a new or good s/h cam fitted, then it's hardly beyond economic repair. Looked at the prices of decent E30's recently?
