If we ever get some warm weather this year, I would like to refurb my aircon, which has been MIA for a couple of years.

Want to replace the condenser, any pointers to a good supplier? There is a new one on eBay, but pot luck as to quality!

Will replace the receiver / dryer and a couple of perished hoses too.

While the coolant rad is out, which was recored last year, will be replacing the coolant hoses for silicon ones for peace of mind.

Second question is blower fan speed. The cold fan runs significantly slower than the hot. Have tried adjusting the pots on the back of the rotary switch to no avail. Do all cold fans run slower ?

Thanks smile

If you manage to find the short hose from Dryer to Condenser, please let me know where. Thanks

Will do. May be able to get one made up locally, know a good hose company!

If they can do it, shall I ask for 2?

Thanks, will have a look through.

Found somewhere on the Internet last night that was quoting £88 + VAT with free delivery on the condenser

Will post a link later for those interested.

Anyone that can try their blowers for me it would be appreciated! Need to know if the cold fan runs slower than the hot to see if it requires further attention. Ta muchly.

No probs, will pop in there tomorrow afternoon, will post up what they can do. Obviously won't know any prices yet, if they can make them, I will ask them to do all of mine. Is there any others you need mate?

Reporting back as promised.

Been to the hose place today, proper old school with boxes of bits everywhere! But they managed to find the correct looking hose tails to fit.

My replacement condenser & dryer should have been here today, but nothing arrived, so as soon as I get it, will try the fittings to make sure they're correct, then it's a five minute job for them to crimp them on to a piece of aircon grade hose and bobs your aunties live in lover!

Can you remind me, in a PM your address and I will get it in the post to you.

Still unaware of price, but they will only probably charge me material costs as I put a lot of business their way through work.
