I have a Platinum X-Type, a 2003 2.0 V6 bought in Jan and it is an absolute peach of an engine,

it won't set the world on fire but it is smooth and comfortable at the speed limit.

on 98k miles now and running like clockwork.

I recommend putting the facelift grill on it. It took about 5 years off mine.

I paid £950 for mine

Although I await all the knobs of the PH forum who will claim it's just a Mondeo

It's not it doesn't drive or feel like a Mondeo

finally picked this up yesterday , thanks to the dvla....
been waiting a few weeks for them.
first impressions of the car,
lovely drive, nice driving position, loving the steering , powered but heavy feel, car is very clean with no marks , only disappointment is power, at 157bhp , it does lack a little....
next time maybe a 3 litre...
