I'm going to be in the Chester area on Thurday while my car gets serviced and I wondered if anyone had any suggestions of things to do in the area that would consume the day.

Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks.

There is an indoor Karting place in queensferry.

Other than that wander round the Walls and lunch at the pasty company or at one of the many pubs.

Train to prestatyn and a paddle in the sea?

I do have access to a courtesy car so anything else in a 30-40ish mile radius?

I'm not a fan of zoos.

Thanks for the suggestions upto now btw and especially to motorrad but I don't think the accompanying g/f would be too impressed. Then again.....?

there is the Canal Boat museum at ellesmere port, just along from Cheshire Oaks (Outlet place)

You could visit the U-Boat museum and/or have a trip on the mersey ferry if you head up to Birkenhead.

He's on the edge of North Wales with a borrowed car and he's asking on PH and you suggest canal boats? nerd

Op, rag it over towards Denbigh, then over the moors to Llyn Brenig. Nice lunch at the visitor centre. Then back via Corwen with a stop for coffee in Llangollen.

Thats all well and good, he later says GF in tow, so a day driving round windy roads might not go down as well as shopping/museum and a nice meal wink

Even if not a trackday, there's always something on there & you can get a bite to eat.

Leave the OH at home - she'll moan no matter what you do unless it involves shopslaugh

Blue Planet near to Cheshire Oaks?

Delamere Forest for a walk - if nice?

Chester or Cheshire Oaks for shopping?

River trip on the Dee?

What would you wish to do.... ?

Thanks again all for suggestions.

Blue Planet is probably the lead contender upto now.

I'm not too impressed that they have sharks but the lack of orkas is a definite plus.

Absolutely nothing on at Oulton park that day.

Keep the ideas coming please. Open to any suggestions.

Is there really?

Lived in Chester all my life and I've never seen a McLaren or a Rolls dealer there...

Knutsford not Chester, including Bentley (out of town though).

Then carry on along to Wilmslow and peruse the Porsche and Ferrari dealerships.
