A nice bottle of gin

We at work are looking to obtain a present. The recipient likes their Gin, and we'd quite like to get something a bit better than a bottle of Gordons!

I know nowt about Gin - any suggestions?

I'm not much of a gin person, but Mrs Q is and she recommends Hendricks (sp?) with Fever Tree tonic.

The Botanist.

The Botanist, an artisanal gin made on the island of Islay (I think by whisky distiller during down time at the distillery). Quality and price much the same as a 12 year old Islay malt whisky, good enough to drink neat.

Hendrick's is definitely nice and they'll enjoy it, but if you want to do something different you could have a look at:

I like Tanquery and Blue but it is a bit like a nice Malt. Everyone has a wee different taste

Sip smiths is a good shout for something that is slightly different and you can find in sainsburys currently drinking a bottle of portabello road at the moment!

Bottle of nice gin, 4 x small bottles of good tonic (fever tree / fentimans) a few limes and a Boston glass & muddler

If you can find it Coarunn is a good gin. On par with Tanquery, nice and smooth.

I'd like to throw Plymouth into the mix, one of the nicest all round gins for mixing or straight in a martini

Martin Millers Westbourne strength . Wonderful stuff.

The high strength Cadenheads Old Raj is also a corker, but may have trouble finding.
