Looking ahead to a career outside F1 people like David Coulthard has invested in hotels to keep him financially active during his retirement. Seeing this as an option not yet considered Ralf Schumacher, perhaps keen to have a business to be involved in as a financial get out clause if his Toyota road-trip goes off road next year has invested in a new business interest.

Daily Times said:

BERLIN: Racing driver Ralf Schumacher has teamed up with a subsidiary of German erotic products firm Beate Uhse in a joint venture aimed at the Slovenian market. “For me, it’s just like any other investment,” the German told Bild newspaper which said two million euros ($2.6 million) would be invested to set up eight shops in Slovenia next year. “I’ve entered as a silent partner.” Beate Uhse, Europe’s leading sex store chain, was founded by Beate Uhse, a former Luftwaffe pilot.

They say big brother is a very keen investor. What was Ralf thinking? Do his statements quoted on ITV-f1 just sound ridiculous or is just my wacky American conservatism? He really didn't think this one through. Poor young Schekter got booted off of Jaguwaar for something a little worse than this.
