I think it's all withdrawals are Astons, not all Astons are withdrawals.

Still a pity

That is the factory aston team withdrawing?
A real pity, they sounded ace last year. Made me want to by an aston...

All of the GTE withdrawls are Astons, not all of the Astons have withdrawn, still 2 each in pro and am.
This is the revised entry list

Right, according to Autosport.

Aston Martin are running their regular WEC entry. So that is 2 cars in pro and 2 cars in AM. So 4 Astons ARE racing.

The withdrawn ones are the additional Le Mans only works entries (one in pro and one in am) and the craft raving entry that won it's place after winning the Asia series.

Its a bit daft not having any designated reserves even before the test day.

They did have reserves, 3 or more in each category, but at the moment they seem to be dropping like flies.. So we've gone from 56+6 or possibly 8 to 56..

It's not the ACOs fault that people drop out due to budgetary issues..

It's a shame though that they can't nominate some further reserves or allow Toyota to put an extra car in or something similar..

I find it rather puzzling that the second Prospeed car will not be at the test day and that another AF Course will run in its place on that day. Does this mean they have created another reserve? Also has the "Crohn Racing" entry managed to sneak in now?

It's the drivers rather than the cars that is important, although I'm not sure if the X amount of laps on Test Day rule is still in force. The additional AF Corse car is routine, Loeb were planing to run their LMP2 I seem to remember, but it's not on the list now (although that Test Day entry list is wrong in that they have JMW on Dunlop tyres still, so other stuff may be wrong as well).

ETA: The Loeb LMP2 is on the list, I missed it.

they would have had the second Signatech Alpine had the ACO not fecked them about regarding their "prize entry" for winning the ELMS.

The second Prospeed car is being rebuilt - Any LM eligible car can enter the Test Day, the main advantage is that drivers can 'get in' their rookie laps - On that basis I'd expect to see Duncan Cameron entering next year.

The Krohn car was withdrawn from the entry list - No LM24 this year for Tracy and co

Did anything come from the rumours that Tracy Krohn and Nic Jönsson would drive the Team Taisan Ferrari with Matteo Malucelli, Graham?

10 reserves on the original list IIRC, 5 each in LMP and GTE

Thanks for sharing the list! Two things occurred to me reading it through:

- There are a LOT of 458s running (13 in total if I counted correctly). What do we think are the chances of one of them taking GTE Pro or Am honours? I must say, I thought they sounded awesome at Silverstone at the 6H WEC round!
- Fabien Barthez?! I totally missed that one!

Getting very excited now!

Aston for at least one of those if not both.

Yes you might be right - I saw the BoP changes favoured the Aston with a fairly hefty weight swing in their favour.
