Will I regret it?

Once I've put her through an MOT and got her taxed I'm thinking about selling my MR2 Turbo. What I would like to replace her with is a car I used to own - an e46 330ci.

As much as I love driving the MR2 on the right day, it turns out I like creature comforts a little more than I thought I did. I'm missing things like Bluetooth and a decent stereo (yes, I know these could be retrofitted to my car) and although the MR2 is a bit of an event when you drive it - engine right behind your head, turbo and recirc valve doing their thing - what I'm also craving is that creamy 6 cylinder sound.

So I'm thinking, once she sells I should have around £4k max (with a little bit of savings) to spend on something different. Will I regret getting rid? I've read that many people do. Should I be going for a car that I've already owned? Or should I be looking at something different? If so, what?

I know, another 'what car' thread, though with a slight twist so let me off. I'm sorry boxedin

I would go for something different, not that I can talk after owning 7 cars but only 3 different types. banghead

There is only one way to get a 6 cylinder sound.. You could always try putting a good radio with bluetooth etc. in the MR2 and see how you get on? You can pick up a brand new CD player with all the bells and whistles for £150-200.

You might be right, plus with the summer on the way it does seem a bit silly to get rid after she's flawlessly carried me through the (admittedly mild but very wet) winter.

I have been eyeing up Alfa GTs though - 3.2 obviously smile

Worth a go for sure if you still decide to sell its very simple to swap the CD player back over and sell it or use for the next car!

They look brilliant biggrin
