I have just purchased a 1937 Rover 16 Sports Saloon which I would like to get checked out before driving too far. It is near Twickenham; my problem is that I cannot find any garages that have knowledge or desire to work on this car.
Anyone know of a good specialist?

Not sure about long-term works on the car, but Orleans Garage in Twickenham (which is primarily an MoT testing station, 020 8892 6355) is run by a classic nut (Alan Fox) and, from my dealings with them, he or Anthony there would be more than capable of giving the car a basic once-over if that is what you need. If you want something rather more in-depth let me know and I'll try and come up with some other names.

Hi James
Thanks for the reply. There is a vibration from the engine which needs dealing with, so it is a little more than a quick once over I'm afraid. If you have any other suggestions I'd be really grateful

Coys might be able to help. They are just up the road in Richmond and must know a garage nearby.

Crown Classic Cars are in twickenham. They have done some work on my TR4a over the years, always been happy with the service, had a lovely Aston DB6 in for restoration last time I popped in.

I'm sure I've seen pictures of that car before on the web. Looks nice and a great colour
