Purchased a Ford Focus 56 plate TDCI at the beginning of Feb from an independent dealer, £4000 advertised as having full service history, discovered as soon as we got the car home that there were no service stamps since 2009, immediately raised this with dealer the next day - assured the missing service history would be provided

After a week the car lost power on the motorway, AA called out - Turbo failure. AA mechanic noticed that the failed turbo looked almost new. Car went back to dealer's mechanic,

Next day I visit dealer to complain, he's reluctant to refund me an promises the car will be sorted by his mechanic, promises me additional 1 year warranty on the engine and signs paperwork to this effect.

1 week later new turbo fitted, car seems fine again.

2 weeks ago the turbo has failed again. Car has again gone back to dealer's mechanic who is now struggling to get the turbo replaced under warranty due to the cause of the failure suspected as the oil feed (or lack of)

Basically I don't want the car any more as I think its a lemon and want a refund. We did purchase it with a credit card so I'm hoping we can recoup this via our bank, aside from this what kind of refund should we realistically expect given that I've used the car for a couple of months?

i think he is allowed three attempts, the missing history is a separate issue
