TV aerial wall plate
Discussion
I've just moved in to a recently built flat that has a wall plate that looks like this:

With a box in a cupboard that looks like this:

The box in the cupboard has a power in point but nothing connected to it.
The main TV will connect and work fine but the one in the bedroom receives no signal, I put a splitter into the TV socket and looped a cable to the Return and I get a signal in the bedroom but it's crap and half the stations don't work?
I've never seen one of these before, what's the correct procedure as what I have done so far not only looks bodged it isn't working properly?

TV link F120 distribution needs power, is there a power supply in the white box? Is the red LED glowing on the TV link? Often these are powered down the CoAx cable from a Sky box RF2 out or similar. Probably why you're not getting a signal in the bedroom, also there is likely a second aerial plate in another bedroom.

Google seems to suggest this is for Sky(which I don't have)? It has two inputs, one just says Power, the other DC in, it's fixed to the wall so can't see voltages etc. There is no adaptor with it, powering it up will be my next task.
Regarding the return do I have to split and loop back in to the 'return' socket as it looks bloody terrible

Yes there is a TV plate in both bedrooms.Edited by megaphone on Tuesday 29th April 17:53
The F120 is an amplified 2 way splitter.
It can be powered from a sky box or via a 12v power supply which plugs into the socket marked 'DC In' at the top right of that photo.
If you don't power it with one of these methods it will not pass any signal through to the other plates.
One of these would do it.

I think the system is geared up for Sky+.
Connect the two Sat connections to the Sky box to get view, record and other features.
Connect RF output from Sky box to Return socket which will be connected to the single cable into the distribution box. Analogue(?) TV pictures sent to the other two locations. Magic eye used to select channels in the other two locations.
I don't know if the latest Sky boxes have analogue or digital output with magic eye control.
