Cleaning hard to reach areas ...
Discussion
Hard to reach bits under the bonnet.
When I lift the bonnet I like to see the shiny paint work rather than grubby inner wings, and that is easy enough to resolve for most of the area. However, my hands are quite big and some areas are a far too small to allow me to clean & polish, so how do the more fastidious amongst the PH community get in those hard to reach places? I have tried a cloth on a stick (basic but worth a try), but it's quite ineffective.
I don't have a helper with small hands.
I don’t want to pressure wash or anything similar as the worst area is near the ECU. How do I clean & polish those areas?
As the car is over a decade old, disassembly might result in cracking some plastics, so want to avoid that if possible - also some parts appear to have been glued in place.
Also how do you clean really grubby bits like door ties and bonnet hatches - the grease just seems to attract dirt, so I want to clean up and re-grease.

Personally, I use a good APC or degreaser that is sprayed on liberally and allowed to dwell before agitating with some detailing brushes. Can then be rinsed off with the hose or a carefully aimed blast with the pressure washer
APC?Any degreaser recommended? does it work well on greased areas?
I should add, I am not a detailer, I just fancy it as a hobby, as I have always kept my cars washed and polished, so it seems sensible progression.

APC = All Purpose Cleaner
I use Stardrops which you can usually pick up in Asda for about a quid. Diluted at 8:1 in a spray bottle it shifts most stuff. As for degreaser I usually buy the Gunk in a green can as it's a bit more garden friendly.
I just a hobbyist too but have picked up a few tips from Detailing World
