Anyone going? I'll be there in my 7 (or possibly the boxster if it's wet, which, fingers crossed, currently looks unlikely)

I'm going to this one...perhaps the last outing for my car as I should be picking up an MNR Vortx R1 on Sundaycool

Pop over and say hi if you want...I'll be in a very tatty silver MK1 that'll be leaning like an oil tanker in the corners. Hoping to get it into the 1.40s or die trying before I sell itlaugh

Only just saw this - we did say hi though, I was the one with the GKD you thought was an MNR. Hope the one you're going to see is a good 'un. Really enjoyed the day, weather was better than expected (I got sunburned) and had some great laps. Hopefully got a little bit faster, but Cadwell is a tricky circuit so there's lots left to learn.

Ah yes, I remember you. Glad you managed to get out in the end!

It did look a bit ominous in the morning but cleared up nicely...I got sunburnt toolaugh

I did manage to get into the 1.40s without dying (just) and have a few vids from the day, not sure if you're in them but there are a few 7 style cars (they kind of all look the same to me!). I'll stick them on you tube and put a link up.

Nice car! I saw it around the paddock but never saw you on track so no video of you unfortunately. Here's a couple of vids from the day anyway...

Just keep searching "Cadwell" on you tube for the next couple of weeks and sorting by upload time, they'll all come out of the woodwork.

Although if you were doing a lot more overtaking than being overtaken you probably won't be in many. No one puts up the videos where they get shown a clean pair of heelslaugh

EDIT: Just thought, if you want a rough idea, tell me what distinctive cars you were quicker than and which you were slower than and I reckon I could estimatelaugh I was out quite a bit and saw most cars on track at one point or another.

Was a great day with loads of track time. Usual good stuff from Opentrack tbh.

Tommy you pass me at the end of your second vid. I was in the middle of tuition and had fluffed a gear change and bogged down at the bottom of mountain lol

Will have a look at those videos when my internet is less rubbish.

Yeah, surprisingly my cable tie bodge kept the cycle wing securely attached for the rest of the day and the drive home, so didn't miss out.

I also had a huge moment coming up through Coppice - in my case I just braked too late, and turned in too fast and too late, so I ended up trying to corner hard with two outside wheels on the grass, which quickly turned into a very big/fast tank slapper... that's a bit more excitement than I really needed.

Some good free cakes and general good organisation from Opentrack, thanks Dave.

I had a similar moment at coppice, but fortunately I was sat in the passenger seat of the blue caged mini. How we missed everything I do not know

Ah, wasn't ever on track with that at any point either but I assume it was bloody fast! The other cars that I thought were quick on the day were the Corsa and a Renault Clio. Both were well driven and much faster in a straight line than they should have been too.

Incidentally I didn't buy the MNR today as it was in a bit of a state and needs a lot of work. Might still buy it but need to think whether I want to take it on as a project rather than as something I can take straight out on track!

Tempted to forget it and put some money into the MX5 as it's basically bog standard apart from the turbo and the suspension is totally worn out. Could be lovely with coilovers and a decent geo setup.

I do actually have a bit more footage of you from when I had the instructor in my car too coincidentally. I can upload it if you're interested? There's quite a funny moment where the instructor is calmly gesticulating with his hands the line he wants me to take whilst I'm in the middle of saving a bit of a hairy moment through Barn. He was cool as a bloody cucumberlaugh

I'd be interested to see it as he managed to pick up 10-12mph along park straight with me.

Ok, just uploading it now. I didn't really gain any time from the tuition to be honest...I was a little smoother but it didn't actually change my laptimes unfortunately.

By the way the photos are up on the Opentrack Flickr site. The body roll of my car is hilarious...

If I don't buy this kitcar that is definitely on the cards. I'd be curious to see how much actual difference it would make to my laptimes though.

Loui - got the other video uploaded. You're at the beginning towards the end of the first lap and the bit that made me chuckle is at about 6.05 (and a few more slides after that too). It's just something about the calm way he's waving his hand as we start to swing towards the barrierslaugh

Lol , thanks can see that the stiffer rear springs have reduced the rear body roll a bit !!
