Service time - a few issues

So in the last 3 years my Griff has covered about 1200 miles 
But as ever it is service time.
So what is the consensus on oil these days? The last service sadly had Mobil 1 put in, I'm considering some Fusch/Silkolene from Opie Oils.
Also does any one have the right oil filter part number for a 92 Pre Cat?
As I remember there was a bit of a discussion around plugs, was there a winner? I may just head over to ACT and pick some up, along with new prawns.
Lastly, one of my fans is making a slightly "dry bearing" sound. Is the fan on it's way out or can I just pop it off and squirt some oil in it?
I'll need to get the parts Friday/Saturday.
