Since advertising our cars for sale in various places I've had the usual influx of amusing e-mails from our chums in West Africa offering to 'buy' a car via their 'broker'. Most of them are easy to spot and with a bit of investigation it's pretty simple to conclude where they've come from. Others have been more convincing...

Are there any free tools or online resources available to quickly look up an IP address' termination country? This would make it so much easier to weed out the scams.

I'm not sure if this is what your thinking about but try Whois under the resource section there is a link for finding IP's.

Not going to help that much. Lots of the scams come from internet cafes in this country.....

As for UK 'net café scams, just have to deal with them as a separate issue.
