Freelander 2 Clutch Slipping At Low Revs?

Hi guys, I have recently noticed my girlfriend's Freelander seems to have started to slip the clutch slightly. It seems to only do it at quite low revs, say between 1500 and 2500 ish? This actually gets better as it revs up which seems strange?
I have had a quick google around etc but thought you guys would probably know straight away how severe this could be? I am fully prepared for a new clutch, but are we talking flywheels and all sorts? Cheers.
If its a diesel which I am guessing it is, then the slip is more likely to happen at the lower revs as that is where all the torque is on a diesel. Budget £800 to £1k if you have to replace the DMF.
I see the other response mentioned that clutches are a known issue on FL2s. Once day LR will get it right.
I nearly bought one for my wife recently, but I decided I didn't want to risk it.
Our old FL2 developed clutch slip and from what I understood it is caused by the auto-adjusters getting stuck and not compensating for wear on the friction plate. Ours started doing it after some protracted hillside parking that got the clutch a bit hot and smelly. It would slip in 6th at peak torque.
I "fixed" it by putting some shock loads into the clutch, by doing a few harsh gearchanges up and down the gears side-stepping the clutch with the revs deliberately mismatched with roadspeed. Bear in mind that this could also break something else...
