Maserati Ghibli - interested in one?

I had been thinking that it would be 12-15 months until I was able to look seriously at one of these but I have have found an exit route from my current BMW lease that could put me in the market quite soon although it will depend on leasing rates.

Friday is a bit tight but message sent.

A nice looking car but even when depreciation has taken its toll after 3 years and there is an influx of them on the market, I can't help but think that parts are going to be very expensice; pads, discs, track rod ends etc.

Mercs, Audis, BMW have interchangeable parts with lesser models in their brands but somehow I suspect that Maserati bits aren't going to be interchangeable with Alfas and Fiats!

Let's be honest - they're not aimed at people who can't afford brake discs.

I'd have loved to try one as I am genuinely interested in a Ghibli as my next sensible car however Surrey is too far away and we haven't taken delivery of my wife's XF yet.

But if it's priced the same as a 5 series then it should have 5 series running costs, not 3 times higher or whatever they will be etc.

I very much suspect that anyone who thinks that way will find a reason to default to a 5 series anyway.

Unit numbers, dealer network and cost (most Ghibli specs are way above a 5'er) will see this car appealing to a smaller market that BMW appeals to. It does (in absolute terms) compare to E-class type cars, but as has been said it will only be bought by a few who fancy loitering in Maserati circles.

I cycled alongside one for a while yesterday and I think they're very, very handsome cars. Bloody huge though. If I was in that market I probably wouldn't even bother looking at a high-spec 5-series or E-class when the choice now includes a Ghibli.

Same. Think these are lovely. Sensible leases seem to be coming on steam too. Give it back once the warranty is up, what's not to like
